Introducing the Equine Development Committee

The Summerland Rodeo Grounds Equine Development Committee (SRGEDC) is thrilled to be leasing the Summerland Rodeo Grounds from the District of Summerland effective January 1, 2025.

Our vision is “to create a facility and club that consists of members of all ages, skill levels and equestrian disciplines. To have a meeting place to share our common passion for equestrian activities. To foster a cohesive equine community and to build a sense of pride and ownership in the management of the Summerland Rodeo Grounds.”

With years in the making to lease the rodeo grounds, the SRGEDC is proud to help preserve access to, and make improvements to, this community equine amenity.

The SRGEDC Executive was elected at the annual general meeting on November 14, 2024, and includes:

  • Vice President: Hayley Spreitsma 

  • Secretary: Tara Ellsworth

  • Treasurer: Robyn Wandfluh
