Membership
Why become a member of the SRGEDC?
Most importantly, by becoming a member of the SRGEDC you are helping safeguard the future of equestrianism at the Summerland Rodeo Grounds. The rodeo grounds were built by volunteers from the local equestrian community to provide a safe environment to meet, ride, and host equestrian events. The SRGEDC want to preserve that legacy.
Membership fees go directly to maintaining and improving the rodeo grounds’ facilities. By becoming a member, you are investing in the equestrian community of today and of future generations.
An active and buoyant membership will help the SRGEDC access grants from equestrian organisations to improve facilities at the rodeo grounds. The SRGEDC board will be working hard to secure additional funding - your membership will help bolster our grant applications.
Member Benefits:
Members have exclusive access to two groomed outdoor arenas open 24hrs a day, seven days a week (except during scheduled events and bookings which will be indicated on the calendar). The rings will be locked to prevent damage to the footing by unsanctioned non-equestrian use but members will have access codes.
Members will have discounted entry fees to SRGEDC events and stabling.
The SRGEDC will be hosting members-only fun events such as trail rides, jump nights, and polework exercise grids. Members will be able to haul-in and make use of the facilities and equipment at no extra cost. (2025 dates to be confirmed)
All members are required to sign a liability waiver as part of the membership application, follow the rules and regulations of the rodeo grounds and must hold a valid Horse Council of BC membership. Please join online via the link opposite then print and sign the waiver and email it to us at membershipsatsrg@gmail.com.
