Hosting an equestrian event at the Summerland Rodeo Grounds

Do you have an idea for an equestrian event, competition, clinic, or activity that you’d love to see taking place in Summerland? SRGEDC members are now able to host equestrian events at the rodeo grounds under the SRGEDC umbrella. The SRGEDC will provide the facilities and full insurance for the event, free of charge. In return, the member hosting the event will be expected to organise and run the event, with all profits going towards the upkeep and maintenance of the facility. Contact us for more information or to discuss an idea for an event. If you would rather run an equestrian event (show, clinic, etc) outside of the SRGEDC umbrella by paying for the rental of the facility, acquiring your own insurance, but also keeping all the profits, you can do so by submitting a Booking Inquiry instead (keep scrolling down)

Rentals

Renting all or part of the Rodeo Grounds is possible all year round. Dry camping is also available for events. The facility is great for horse shows, equestrian events, sporting events, club barbecues, meetings, rustic weddings, family reunions, and more.

Rental pricing is dependent upon several factors including type of event, non-profit or private, size of the event, and facilities required. For pricing and availability, please fill out the form below.

Note that ALL rental requests are assessed by the board of directors to determine suitability. For events that involve alcohol on the premises, the renter must acquire a Special Events Permit (SEP) from the Province of a BC. A copy of the SEP must be submitted to the SRGEDC prior to your event.

Complete the rental inquiry form to provide the details of your event. We will review the request and be in touch within one week. We look forward to hosting you!
